Stage 1
In this workshop, you will learn the Free Machine Embroidery techniques Janine uses to stitch a character onto fabric. She will show you and guide you to draw your own figure and explain simple methods of proportions and clothing and you will be able to complete a picture by the end of the day. The sewing style is relaxed, fun and very quickly you will be able to achieve a lot and it is also suitable for beginners to Free Machine Embroidery.

Student requirements:
Sewing machine, feed dogs down, and embroidery foot
Inspirational images
Pencil and paper
Fabric scraps for appliqué
Neutral, larger fabrics to use as a background: calico, cottons, vintage linens, but close weave.
