After a two year gap the 2022 Fest returned and was without doubt a great success.
This year will be the 10th Folk Fest, so plans are in hand to ensure that this year will be the biggest and best ever.
As in previous years entertainment will take place throughout the day in the Market Square, The Brewer’s Arms, St. Peter and St. Paul’s Church, The David Hall and The Blake Hall.
Planning is at an advanced stage and already we are working on there being more music, more stalls, and more events for children and families. Full details will be released in early 2023.
Once again the day will start at 10am with a procession into the Market Square, where proceedings will open with the Ceremony of the Glove.
This is, as always, a day of free entertainment for all ages and will include performance, workshops and much much more!!
This event relies on the time and efforts of many volunteers, both in the planning and during the preparing and running the Fest on the day and help is always welcomed.
